Appoint or Elect?
The U.S. Constitution allows Governors to appoint new U.S. Senators when Senators who were elected leave. Some people say that's not democratic. They say voters should pick new Senators in special elections. Others say Governors should. They say special elections are too costly. What do you think? Should voters pick new Senators? Explain your opinion.

I don't think that people should choose a Senator because it wouldn't be fair to have the Senator get replaced.
What I think is that is a good/bad idea because I would want the same old Senators because you can trust them and you know them better than if you kept electing new Senators. There is one quistion I have Why do the Senators leave?? I think voters should not pick new Senators because people just would vote for who seems best even if they are horrible because some people say they will do this and that and it is not true. #13
I think that voters should vote for new governors so that only people that most people in the united states like.

I think that the governers should get to choose new senaters after they leave. They are in charge of the senators either way so why can't they choose for once.

Yes voters should pick new Senators because people have the write to select the president why not pick the new Senator?

I think that they should have new special elections to chose a new Senators sp that we could see what the person would do. I think that would be a good to have a Senators.

Yes. I think that we should have an election to choose the next US Senetor because it would feel better if we had the chance to meet the Senetors and decide which ones seem better or which ones seem worse.

I think voters should be able to vote because it wouldn't be fair if they just gave you some random person that you don't know anything about.

Yes, I do think we should vote for nw senetors. If we just let th peope of the white house just choose than they may make a mistake and pick a man/ woman that will make every ones' lives difficult. Our parents could lose thier jobs and they can alsolose thier homes and children. So yes, I really do think we should get to vote for our new senetors.

I'd say that voters should be allowed to vote in a new senator because whether or not the governor is democrat or republican it would effect the way they choose the senator.

what I think people should do is let people vote and I think it is unfair for the goverment picks.
If we could pick new Senators that I would vote NO we don't have to but it depends on how they work. But I would vote yes but it depends on there work
But for most of them I would vote NO we do not have to vote because the senators would do a good job on there job.

I think the governers should choose the senneters because people don't have time to worry all the time about electing all the time. If they were voting for a seniter and there was a new pesedent electoin they might get mixed up.

I personaly belive that senators should be apointed because like it said elections are to costly and the country needs for much more important reasons.
