Dogs and cats are they country's two most popular pets. Some people like both. But many people consider themselves either a "dog person," someone who loves dogs, or a "cat person," someone who likes cats. Which animals do you think make better pets: dogs or cats?

I Love dogs in all but it gets tired of picking up their " business" and cleaning up after them. I think dogs are cute and fun, but cats are better to handle. I mean they have their own spot to poop or pee in and you don't have to pick it up unless they aren't potty trained yet. I over all think that cats are easy to handle, and they are soft and funny.

I would choose neither for many reasons. First of all, I am allergic to animal fur. Second of all, having those animals add extras responsibilities to what you have to do. I know they are cute but I would prefer neither of them.

I think dogs make better pets because if someone breaks into your house your dog will try to protect you and your family.But if you had a cat and someone broke into your house the cat wouldn't try to protect you like your dog would the cat would just run away into your house and hide.

I disagree with you Scott.I disagree with you because cats can be funny sometimes but they wouldn't try to protect you if someone tried to break into your house your cat would just run away into your house and hide unlike dogs.

I agree with you that dogs try to protect you. Whenever I go to my friends house to pick them up their dog starts barking at the doorbell. I still would pick neither.

I think that Dogs are better because they are more supportive and bark when there are people they don't think is safe at the door. Dogs are better to me because they are more active and you can play all sorts of games with them. With my puppies, (Ozee and Snikerz) they always bark when there is someone at the door. That's because I trained them to bark when there is someone at the door that they/we don't know. Dogs are better because they are more protective.

Jarred, I agree with you about Scott's. The cat(s) would run away to where the dog(s) would be more protective then the cats because they care about their owner(s) and want them to be safe.
Well, at least that's what my puppies do.

I think that cats are evil and alien thing that sleep all day and kill mice and eat them the cant just eat the food you give them. And dogs are friendly and your best friend and they protect you in danger.

I disagree with you about the cats being able to handle more because they could get all fussy and then try to scratch you.

I would chose both because having a cat it will always want to cuddle and having a dog they will protect you if someone breaks into your house.

I am a cat and dog person. I like cat and when you play with them and you have string in your hand they go crazy. I like dogs because they will follow you if you have a treat in your hand. But with cat i don't like it when I have to clean the cat boxes it stinks bad, I like dogs because my sister clean up the dog stuff.

I would like to have a snake. Because they are very cool. They will bite intruder but if you are careful they will not bite you.

I think cats are the best cuddly best friends you could have.I say this because I've lived with cats ever since I came home from the hospital being a new born.I cant say that dogs are the worse because I've lived with my whole life to but I will always root for cats.
